trader joe's day || mini framed original gouache painting

One of the simplest pleasures in my life that brings me an inordinate amount of joy is Trader Joe's flowers.  Especially in the months of deep winter, I frequent my local shop with alarming regularity, often buying more flowers than my small space can actually accommodate.  But it never stops me.

This study is based on a photo I look of a Trader Joe's haul years ago, the mash of colors and textures bringing me just as much joy now as it did all those years ago.

Gouache on paper.

Painting measures roughly 3.5-inches round, and roughly 4.5-inches framed.
