When I think of summer as a child, there is always water and very often the heavy scent of wild mountain pines.   We spent our summer days reconnecting with far-off family members as we traversed the great American West.  Those pines and mountain lakes are deeply engrained in my soul and my senses.

 To preserve the proportions of the original piece,  painting is featured in an an uncropped format, centered on a field of white.
