Can you imagine being a shepherd on a hillside when all of a sudden you are greeted by a heavenly host proclaiming the Christ child's birth?  What wonder and awe would you feel?

This painting was born from that rumination.  As we've discussed many times, the human form is not my strong suit artistically.  But I pictured each of the dots in the sky as an angelic face, coming to sing praises to the King with the humblest of audiences ready to join in triumphal celebration.

I like to think that no matter where or who we are, we can feel the same joy over the life of Jesus Christ.
