We often see depictions of the birth of Christ set in the darkness of night with the new star burning boldly in the sky. But I was struck by the description found in 3 Nephi chapter 1.  "for behold, at the going down of the sun there was no darkness; and the people began to be astonished because there was no darkness when the night came."

I loved the idea of the sky radiating color and light to as the heavens proclaimed the birth of the Christ child.
