winter solstice || art print

One morning I was driving home from taking Lil to school and the sky was perfect winter gradient.  No clouds, just the more glorious, muted shades created only in the heart of winter when the sun is lowest on the horizon.  

I tried to memorize the sky and painted it when I got home.  The stark pines against the cool tones
