the gable room || original watercolor painting

While I took inspiration for this collection from a myriad of sources, this piece was inspired close to home. I took the time to document my own little gable bedroom, to cherish a moment in time.

This little room is a haven for me in ways I don't think I can fully explain.  It was where I dreamed girlhood dreams and in adulthood was where I found refuge amid monumental changes.  It is where I cuddle my daughter and where I daydream.  It's where I work and where I find peace.

I loved being able to capture it through watercolor, feeling a strong connection to the artist Carl Larson.  So special to savor my own oasis.
